For foreign applicants (citizens of non-CIS countries, Georgia, Turkmenistan and the Baltic States) who enter the RSTU on a contractual basis, it is necessary to enter the Russian Federation on a visa. Other citizens of the CIS countries do not need an invitation and a visa.

After preliminary consideration of the documents, in the event of a positive decision, the RSTU sends an invitation to the applicant, which will be necessary to issue a visa at the Russian embassy.

In the visa in the column "purpose of arrival" should be written "study." To obtain such a visa, you need to issue an invitation to the RSTU

The invitation is issued free of charge. Issuing an invitation takes 1.5 months from the moment the applicant submits documents. The ready invitation is sent to the applicant by e-mail.

Documents for issuing an invitation

To issue an invitation, you must submit the following documents for review by e-mail not later than 3 months before the start of the training:

1. Training application form;

2. Copy of passport (validity period of passport is not less than 18 months from the date of application);

3. A copy of the document on completed secondary or higher education and an appendix to it with a list of studied disciplines and with translation into Russian. The education document must be legalized in the country issuing the document;

4. List of scientific papers and publications, topic and theses with justification of future work (for those entering postgraduate and doctoral studies).
